An article in the NWF Daily News discussed concerns I have with Okaloosa County School Board Member Capital Discretionary Funds (http://www.nwfdailynews.com/news/questions-43470-school-beach.html)   For the 2011-2012 School Year the District is proposing to allocate a total of $375,000 for School Board Member Capital Discretionary.   This is an increase of $125,000 from what was discussed and proposed originally for the 2011-2012 calendar year.   Each School Board member under the new proposal would receive $75,000 of Capital Discretionary Funds.   In previous years School Board members have been allocated as much as $150,000 each.   For a complete listing of School Board Capital Discretionary Fund expenditures from the 2006-2007 school year through the 2010-2011 school year as of April 2011, please click on the INFORMATION tab on this website.
